Whispers in the Fog: Tsubaki’s Sadness
Setting: Tsubaki’s quiet
garden at sunrise, covered in mist.
Tsubaki
stood by Emiko’s grave, mumbling to herself.
Tsubaki: "How did this happen, Emiko? We were arguing one moment,
and now you’re gone forever. Couldn’t you at least have said one last
insult?"
Natsukashii
walked into the garden, carrying his medical kit.
Natsukashii: "Sometimes silence tells us more than words, Tsubaki.
Emiko’s death isn’t as simple as it looks. Do you know something about
it?"
Tsubaki
smirked.
Tsubaki: "The only thing I’m guilty of is keeping my rivals alive
because it’s fun to beat them. Emiko’s ghost would probably agree—if she wasn’t
busy haunting me."

Secrets
in the Shadows: Kintsugi’s Dark Plan
Meanwhile,
Kintsugi whispered to her lover, To Wa, in her dim room.
Kintsugi: "Poor
Emiko… If she’d figured out how sweet kojutsu (trickery) can be, she’d
still be alive."
To
Wa laughed nervously.
To Wa: "You talk about poisoning someone like it’s as easy as
making tea."
Kintsugi
flicked his ear playfully.
Kintsugi: "It was easier than that. Now, keep quiet. I’ve joined a
group to make sure no one finds out."
(Her tone turned serious.)
"Don’t cross me, To Wa. Oni (demons) don’t like betrayal."

A
Scholar’s Curiosity: Satoshi Watches
In the village tavern, Aoyama was drinking, clearly upset. In the corner, Satoshi, a mysterious scholar, was quietly watching.
Satoshi: (to himself)
"Grief makes people curious, and curiosity can be dangerous. Maybe I
should visit Emiko’s grave. There might be more to her death than we
think."
Aoyama
overheard him and sighed.
Aoyama: "If Emiko were here, she’d knock some sense into all of us.
Satoshi, do you believe in ghosts?"
Satoshi
grinned.
Satoshi: "Not much. But if her spirit is still around, I bet it’s
not here to chat. Something dark caused her death."
The
Warning: Natsukashii Faces Kintsugi
Back in the village, Natsukashii used a paper doll, called a katashiro, to find answers. Suddenly, the doll moved on its own. A deep voice came from the shadows.
Yurei
(ghostly voice):
"Be careful, Natsukashii. Some secrets should stay buried."
Natsukashii
didn’t flinch.
Natsukashii: "I’ll uncover the truth, even if I have to pull it out
of the underworld myself."
Suddenly,
Kintsugi, now controlled by a demon, stepped out of the shadows. Her eyes
glowed with a strange light.
Kintsugi: "Aren’t
you scared? Or have you forgotten that paper dolls can be deadlier than knives
when used right?"
Natsukashii: (stepping
closer) "Careful, Kintsugi. The more you mess with dark powers, the
harder it gets to see the truth. Soon, even your dolls might betray you."
Kintsugi
laughed wildly.
Kintsugi: "Maybe. But by then, who will be left to care?"
A
Duel in the Mist: Tsubaki and Aoyama
On
a misty mountain, Tsubaki and Aoyama practiced sword fighting. Their blades
clashed in perfect rhythm.
Aoyama
sighed.
Aoyama: "Emiko’s death feels like a silence I can’t escape. Do you
miss her, Tsubaki?"
Tsubaki
raised an eyebrow, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Tsubaki: "Miss her? I miss arguing with her. She was exhausting,
but now it feels like she’s watching us, waiting for us to fail."
Aoyama
chuckled, looking at her.
Aoyama: "If Emiko is watching, maybe she’s rooting for us—or
laughing at us from wherever she is."
Enter
the Investigator: Mitsuo Arrives
As Tsubaki and Aoyama trained, a mysterious man named Mitsuo arrived in the village. He carried a scroll with a strange emblem neither of them recognized.
Mitsuo: (grinning)
"What an interesting village. So many secrets, so few people keeping them.
Tell me, have you noticed anything odd about… Kintsugi?"
Tsubaki
and Aoyama exchanged a glance, unsure if they could trust him.
Tsubaki: "And who
are you?"
Mitsuo
bowed with a sly smile.
Mitsuo: "Call me Mitsuo. Some think I’m a truth-seeker; others call
me a collector of other people’s mistakes. Let’s just say I’m here to tidy up
loose ends."
As
Mitsuo’s laughter echoed through the village, it was clear that more trouble
was on its way.
